Navigation Training for Adventure Race

Here in our final days leading up to the Atomic Adventure Race, Jason and I hit the forest for a little navigation training. It was a quick session, but incredibly valuable for both getting in better sync as a team and for a bit of confidence building.
It almost felt like cheating, working our way through a short course, in the light of day, with a full belly and fresh legs. But how helpful it is to practice doing things right.
We’ve practiced the high-fatigue, mistake-ridden sessions were you learn to adapt and push through the pain and frustration. This was an exercise in smooth.
