Applied Vitals

My dad and I have just begun a two week adventure in Panama. Our first day in country has pretty much been constant travel, leaving Panama City this morning and busing it several hours to a rendezvous point in Chitre with our friend Charlie.

Have you seen the movie The Terminal with Tom Hanks?  We were stopped by immigration last night and told to return to our American airline flight to purchase a visitor card (visa).  Our flight crew was long gone and we were stuck in the terminal.  Eventually a nice lady offered to find help on the other side of customs for us.  Later that same night . . . the hotel receiver was still patiently waiting for us with a sign (“Dominique Caverniti”) when we got through.
