About
This blog contains articles, race results, lessons learned, gear reviews and multimedia related to my experiences in adventure racing and training.
Adventure racing is an exciting, multi-discipline, off-road sport that is gaining in world-wide popularity. Characterized by a mix of (most commonly) mountain biking, trail running or trekking, kayaking or canoeing, and stitched together with land navigation and race strategy, adventure races are generally considered endurance-length events.
If you’re new to adventure racing, I think you’ll find the community to be incredibly friendly, open and excited to share their passion for and knowledge of the sport.
I launched this blog as a way to reach out to the adventure racing world to both solicit advice and share my experiences. It has been a tremendous success with adventure racing fanatics, event organizers, gear companies and other newbies like myself chiming in to help evangelize for the sport.
I welcome everyone and anyone to participate in discussions on this blog. Thanks for dropping by and I look forward to hearing from you if one of the articles moves you to leave a comment.
